Vanier Award at UoG in Canada, 2020 – The Vanier CGS is a prestigious scholarship valued at $50,000 per year for 3 years and is designed to attract and retain world-class doctoral students. Both Canadian and International students are eligible to apply and may be nominated by the University of Guelph if they demonstrate all three of the equally weighted criteria: academic excellence, research potential, and leadership. Vanier Scholars will demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and/or humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health.

Eligibility

To be eligible, the applicants must have achieved a first-class average, as determined by the nominating institution, in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent. The University of Guelph defines the first-class average as a minimum A- (80%).
