Scholarship Benefits at FIT in USA 2021 – Dr. Mary Helen McCay, Florida Tech College of Engineering research professor, has established the Wilbur Dean Johnston International Student Scholarship in honor of her father. With the first donation of $10,000, scholarship awards were recently made to four students.
They are: Georgia Stellos Kargiori, a physics major from Cyprus; Toshimitsu Umeta, a mechanical engineering major from Japan; Nahed Bahman, an aviation management major from Bahrain; and Eyre Mischka Hylton, a communications major from Jamaica.
Planning additional contributions of $10,000 annually for nine years, McCay will eventually fund the scholarship with a total of $100,000.
The International Student Scholarship Committee selects scholarship recipients. The recipients, from foreign countries, must hold a 3.85 grade point average, be full-time students and have 60 credit hours completed.

To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- The scholarship holder must be an international student.
- Scholarship holders must apply for an undergraduate programme at the Florida Institute of Technology.
Undergraduate degree in any field offered by the university.

The successful candidates who meet the criteria will benefit from this aid, which will cover up to $10,000 of the tuition fee for an accepted course.
